Biography
Jasmine Wyman Thomas is an experienced insurance defense attorney, originally from Yemassee, South Carolina. Upon graduating from law school, Jasmine clerked for South Carolina Circuit Court Judges Clifton B. Newman (retired) and DeAndrea Gist Benjamin (United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit). After clerking, Jasmine worked for several firms in South Carolina. During that time, she defended insurance companies and their insureds in cases ranging from personal injury to construction defects to workers’ compensation. She has been touted a “Rising Star” by South Carolina Super Lawyers from 2021-2023. She served as Secretary of the South Carolina Black Lawyers Association for several years.
She now lives in Douglasville with her husband and daughter. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her large family and cheering on the Clemson Tigers! Jasmine is a proud sister of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She and her family attend Destiny World Church in Austell.
